Before you give up on your dreams remember every difficulty is an opportunity in disguise. I know you’ve been working really hard and you’re frustrated, but what if you are closer to a breakthrough?
Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, Thomas Edison and Dr. Seuss all failed miserably before they became successful. We all face obstacles in pursuing our goals, whether they’re professional or personal. But it is commitment in the face of trails that produces strong characters.
The situation you find yourself in times of trails may make you feel that you’re not good enough, but before you listen to that voice, remember these 7 things.
- Every step you take no matter how small is progress.
Thomas Edison once said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. I am not discouraged because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”
As long as you are not stagnant, there is a possibility that you will reach your destination. You will experience obstacles, but the number one enemy of success is giving up, don’t ever think of it.
- It’s not over until you say so.Joanne Kathleen Rowling was rejected by 12 publishers before Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was accepted. She didn’t throw in the towel, she kept on pushing until she got her breakthrough.
- Persistence is the key
Persistence is a key if you desire success in life. Winston Churchill once said, “If you have an important point to make, don’t try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time – a tremendous whack.” Just because you didn’t get it right the first time, doesn’t mean you won’t get it right the second.
- It takes a matter of being firm
To be firm is to hold and make a decision not to let go. You have no other choice than to rise up and say, “I don’t care how hard this is. I don’t care how disappointed I am. I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m not going to give up.”
- See mistakes as a stepping ground
Don’t worry about mistakes or failures, making mistakes means you’re doing something and learning from it.
The truth is, everyone makes mistakes and goes through rough patches. But if you learn from the things that go wrong you can redeem your failures. It’s not about avoiding adversity, but knowing how to handle it.
- Think about the big picture and be happy
Think back to the last time you were really thriving in your life. Think about what will happen if you give up, then sit back and encourage yourself be happy and do more to achieve your dreams.
- There is just a tiny gap between failure and success
There’s just a little gap between “l’ll try again” and “l’ll give you” Both will cause you something but it is only one that will keep your smiles on if you endure to cross the line.
Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice. –
