Because joy can be found in serving and giving sacrifice unto others.
Joy ultimately leads to hope, and hope doesn’t disappoint us.
Because there are those who are living above and beyond in great injustice,
perhaps this can bring some encouragement to them.
From Tanya: My husband Alex and I started our ministry to orphans more than 10 years ago. We have 5 own kids and 9 adopted. We live close to Kyiv. The 25th of February we had to flee from shelling by Russian soldiers. After 48 hours of travel, God helped us get to and hide in Western Ukraine. We are shocked and holding only to our hope in God that this will all end soon.

Last year (Feb. 24th 2022) Russia invaded and blew up millions of families lives in the Ukraine.
We wanted to come along side of those who are in harms way. To make this personal, I reached out to a college friend of mine, Brent Green, who ran English Camps in the 90's in Ukraine and asked if he could introduce us to a family that is in harms way? He introduced Aleks & Tanya and their 14 kids, whome they build a home for outside of Kiev. Once the conflict began they had to quickly pack up their family and move west with each one backpack to go. Their house has since been riddled with shrapnel caught in the cross fire. They are now refugees in Denmark and we have been blessed to get to know them as we pray for each of their kids and support them over this past year. They have reminded us of what real 3rd world problems are like and put in perspective of our 1st world issues.
AS they stare into the unknown hoping to return back to their home, they struggle every day to find a way to make ends meet. In this walk, would it be possible we could raise $10k in my 100km walk? #DoubleImpact.
This would NOT be tax deductible, as I deposit 100% of the funds directly into their bank in Ukraine via the Wise app. Your donation would be sent in as a seperate transaction and thus you would get a text pic of the funds that would be transfered as a confirmation of your donation.
Here's the catch.
If somehow I complete this life stretch goal/event of walking the full 1km in the timeframe given,
you would double the donation per km.
Thus if you donated $1/km, it would be $200
if the goal for the full 100km was met.
If you sign up in the link below, I will reach out to you following the walk to let you know how many km
(hopefully meeting my goal) and then you can pay by Venmo (Tim-Buhler-3) or other means as you are able.
